Shoe tracker
Running shoes wear out — usually long before they look it. Løbeapp tracks the mileage on every pair automatically and tells you when it's time to rotate, so a worn-out midsole never becomes a niggle.

Add a shoe
Choose Add a shoe and set:
- Surface — Road, Trail, Track, or Treadmill.
- Expected range — how many kilometres you expect the pair to last (most road shoes run 600–800 km).
- Initial km — for a pre-owned pair, the distance already on them before you started tracking. Leave at 0 for new shoes.

Accumulated kilometres
You never edit mileage by hand. Accumulated km = initial km + every run you log with that shoe attached. Each time you log a run and pick a pair, that distance is added automatically — so the number is always honest. A shoe's detail view shows the split: start km + logged km, and the sessions behind it.
Wear states
Løbeapp compares accumulated km against the expected range and shows a clear status:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Healthy | Plenty of life left. |
| Wearing out | Approaching the end of the expected range — start planning a replacement. |
| Past range | Beyond the expected range — time to retire them. |
You'll get a heads-up notification as a pair nears its limit, so you're never caught out mid-block.

Retire a shoe
When a pair is done, retire it. Retired shoes drop out of the shoe pickers when logging runs but stay in your list — with their full mileage history intact.
Why bother?
Tired shoes lose cushioning and change how you land — one of the quietest causes of running injury. Tracking mileage costs you nothing per run and gives you a data-backed answer to "are these still good?" Rotate two pairs and Løbeapp keeps both honest.
