The Co-driver
The Co-driver is your AI co-pilot for training. Answer a few questions in a chat, and it writes a complete, periodised programme tailored to your goal — in seconds. It's the fastest way to go from "I want to run a sub-50 10K" to a structured plan on your calendar.
Find it under Create a programme → The Co-driver.

:::note Optional and free to try (beta) The Co-driver is optional — you can always build by hand with The Master. It uses OpenAI to generate the plan; see what's shared and the Terms. AI-generated programmes are guidance, not medical advice. :::
Build a programme through a chat interview
The Co-driver asks what it needs to coach you well:
- Goal — your race or target (e.g. Sub-50 10K, first marathon).
- Weeks — how long you've got.
- Days — which days you can train.
- Level — your current fitness and experience.
- Extras — anything else: injuries to work around, a long-run day you prefer, races along the way.
From your answers it generates a full structure — blocks, sessions, and segments, periodised toward your goal — and commits it as a draft.
Review the generated draft
The draft is your review surface. Open it in the structure editor and treat it like any other programme: tweak a block, adjust a target pace, move a session, add a rest day. Nothing is scheduled until you publish and activate it.
[[SCREENSHOT OF A GENERATED DRAFT IN THE STRUCTURE EDITOR]]
When it looks right, publish and activate to spawn the planned sessions onto your calendar — exactly the same lifecycle as a hand-built plan (see lifecycle).
Adjust an existing plan — "Regenerate with AI"
Plans need to flex. From a programme, choose Regenerate with AI and tell the Co-driver why and how far to shift — you came back from injury, you missed two weeks, the race moved.
The Co-driver sees your existing structure and which sessions you've already completed, shows you a preview of the consequences, and then builds the shifted, reason-adapted plan as a new draft — for example, easing your volume back up gradually after a layoff rather than dropping you back into peak work.
Your original programme is untouched until you publish and activate the new one. Doing so aborts the original and preserves its history, so your logged runs and shoe mileage always carry over.
Generation limits
To keep the service sustainable, AI programme generation is limited to 2 programmes per week per account. The chat interview itself isn't limited, so you can explore freely and only spend a generation when you're ready. The limit may change with notice.
